Diggersby

STABmons Suspect

Recently, TheEeveeGeneral told us that the Pokemon Diggersby is being suspected in STABmons. The reason it is being suspected is that it has great offensive stats, and the ability to use the extremely strong combo of fake out + extreme speed to break down opposing sweepers. It also has the ability to sweep itself, with access to incredible set-up moves such as belly drum and shell smash. If these weren't enough, it also has a secondary ground typing, so it is able to plow through the steels that would normally wall it.

Pro-Ban Reasoning

It is a Pokemon that is supremely difficult to wall, able to destroy almost any would be counter after setting up, or just through it's power and coverage. A Pokemon that would otherwise wall it, Skarmory, is severely damaged due to it's access to the move wild charge. There is only one real counter to Diggersby, Gourgeist, but this Pokemon is excessively mediocre otherwise, and generally not worth running. Diggersby is not just a wall breaker, but an efficient Pokemon against offensive teams as well. It is capable of KOing many sweepers with the combination of fake out + extreme speed, which is enough to kill the momentum of many teams. Overall, I believe that Diggersby is a supremely powerful Pokemon, and should be highly considered for a ban.
